The City Council met in regular session on the above dates Yeyor
J. T, Atkin presiding. The following members were present: Alder-
men E. K. Frederieson, . -t F. C. Smith, A. C. 'r'Woodfin and
Kennie Tilcox, Jr. Other members present:n Lee C. Black, city manager;
f. H. Nunn, attorney; ; A. P.
Pickle, marshsll; 1'. L. Cetes, secretary.

Fredericson, seconded by Aldo Woodfin were approved.

trerysurer, the cttp of -`police. Also the accounts to be paid, _Pfnunt-
into $253.02. On motion of Aldo Fredericson, seconded by Ald, '.7ood[ftn,
the accounts were ordered paid and reports to be filed.
Some discussion Saps had with representatives of the Lone Star Gas Co.
concerning the new franchise Pnd rate ordinances which had been under
consideration for sometime, after which the C^uncil decided it wss
rep.dy to act.

Alderman Fred C. Smith made a motion that the Frpnchise Ordinance
be reed in full. Alderman Toodfin seconded the motion, which motiann-
carried unanimously. The Ordinence wes red by Ordinance Committteema.n
Fredericson.
The said Ordinance containing an Emergency Clause, therefore a motion
was made, by Alderman F. C. Smith, that the usual rules for passing
ordinances be suspendedj,i'and�thet hereafter the same be read by Cnption
and pass its second reading. The motion was seconded by Aldo Woodfin,
and passed by the following vote: Ayes, .[+'rederieson, Smith, Woodfin,
Wilcox. Noes --none.
Ordinance stead By Caption. On motion of Aldo Tilcox, seconded by Aldo
Roodfin that the Ordinance be passed itgthird reading was cprried by
the following vote: Ayes, Fredericson, Smith, Woodfin, Wilcox,
Noes --none
Ordinance reed by C^ption. Aldo Smith moved that the ordinance be
passe:, to its final vote. The motion was seconded by Aldo Fredericson,
and passed, the following; being the vote; Ayes, Fredericson, Smith,
Woodfin, Wilcox*, '?foes --none.
Ordinance read by Caption. Aldo Smith moved the said ordinance be
Fassed fins.11y. Aldo ','Woodfin seconded the motion, which carried by
the following vote. Ayes--Fredericson, Smith, 'Woodfin „ Wilcox.
Noes --none
The Ynyor declared the Franchise Ordinance duly pissed.

who made a motion thet the acme be passed to its second reading. Aldo
Smith seconded the motion. The motion carried, the following was the
vote: Ayes--Fredericson, Smith, Toodfin, Wilcox. Noes --none.

be hereby suspended, that the said ordinance be read by Caption here-
after, and be passed to the third reading. Ordinance vvps read by caption

Ordinance read by Caption. Aldo Smith made a motion that the said
ordinance be passed finally. Aldo Fredericson eeeonded the motion.
The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes--Fredericson, Smith, Nazariz
'Noodfin, 'Wilcox. Noes --none.

Ald. Fredericson made a. motion that the Va.yor appoint a committee
to cooperate with the attorneys employed in the Kirby damage suit
in behalf of the city, in any manner as may be suggested by said
attorneys, Ald. Tilcox seconded the motion, which rocas unanimously
carried. A committee composed of Aldermen Smith and '"oodfin and
City Ynnager Lee C. Black.
There occuring no further business the Council adjourned.
