The City Council met in regular monthly session on the above date,
mayor J. T. Atkin presiding, the following were present: Aldermen
B. K. rrederieson, Fred 0. Smith, A. C. Woodfin and K.ennie s,'ileox, Jr.
Zee C. Black, city manager; 7. H. Munn, attorney for the city; C. S.
Sanders, Assessor -collector; Dr. J. Frank Olark, health offieer;
A. P. Pickle chief of police, and If. L. Cates, secretary.
Rn motion of Ald. Fredericson, seconded by Ald. Woodfin the minutes of
the previous sessions were approved.
The Report of Manager Lee C. Black including the reports of the treasurer
and assessor -collector, and police chief were read showing Recounts to
be approved and paid in the amount of $262.65;x;, On motion of Ald. `ffoodfin
seconded by.Ald. 'Vilcox the reports were ordered filed end the accounts
paid.
A motion of Ald. Fred C. Smith, seconded by Ald A. C. Woodfin, cerried,
that the Council comply with the State Highws.y Department's request
relative to speed limits in the eity, and requested the city attorney
to draw up an ordinance accordingly.
Yryor Atkin reappointed Dr. J. Frank Clark city heplth officer for
the ensuing year, the Council approved the appointment unanimously.
on motion of Ald. Smith, seconded by Ald. Woodfin, the Council
approve ' the P,^lication of J�mr.� ""illia�n Nprrison as an employee
at the city office at a salary of $260.00 per 'h� b
