The City Council met in regularmonthly session on the' above date
with Mayor C. S. Griffith presidkng, the following Aldermen were present:
J. T. Atkin, E. K. Fredericson, Fred C. Smith, A, C. Woodfin, Kennie
Wilcox. City A�anager Lee C. Black; Atty. W. H. Nunn; Assessor-Collecka
for C. S. Sanders; A. P. Pickle, chief of police: Y. L. Cates, Clerk,
iSinutes were read and approve on motion of Ald. Atkin, Sec. by Ald. Smith.
City Manager Block read his monthly report, including the report of
the city treasurer and police department and the current bills
amounting to $204.69:.,for approval.
Assessor -Collector gave his report.
Yotion made by Alda Atkin, seconded by Ald. Smith , that all reports
be received and filed and the current bills be paid. Carried.
A motion was made by Ald. A. C. :noodfin, seconded by Ald. Fredericson,
thet the City install lights and db other improvements 0 as agreed
upon by the park committee from the Council and a committee from the
Optimist Club of Georgetown. The motion carried.
I'myor C. S. Griffith named Dr. J. Frank Clark as Health 0fficer to
filled the unexpired term of Dr. Walter S, lLartin, deceased. The
Council ratified the appointment by unanimous vote.
On motion of Ald. Atkin, seconded by Ald. Woodfin that the City
Extend the Sewer Lines to include imediate potential patrons:;.
On motion of Ald. Atkin, seconded by A1d.Woodfin, the'City Mansger
was requested to prepare specifications for a police'automobile, as
required for the.e special service, and submit to dealers in George-
town for bids.
Vayor Griffith requested Yans,rer B'b.a.ek to write sutiable resolutions
on Health officer "Talter S. JRPrtin, have them duly signed by the
members of the Council, printed in the newapa,pers, copy sent to
his family and present them to the Council at next regular meeting
when they will be spread on the minutes.
There occurring no further business the Council adjourned.
