The City Council met in regular session on the above date, r'ayor C. ff.
Griffith presiding, the following being present: Lee f. Black, city
manager; Aldermen: J. T. Atkin, F. K. Prederieson, Fred C. Smith, A. C.
Toodfin, W. H. Nunn, attoney for the City; C. S. Snnders, assessor -
collector, A. P. Fickle, chief of police; Y. L. Cates, secretary.
Minutes of the regular end called session of January were read, and
on motion of Ald. Atkin, seconded by Ald, loodfin, were approved,
as corrected.
Yannger Lee C. Black read his usual reports, including bills in the xmx
the amount of $249.42. Potion by Ald. Smith, secondeo by Ald. '9oodfin
that the report be received and filed, Pnd all Recounts ordered paid,
was passed.
Assessor -Collector Sanders reed his report, and on motion of Ald. '^red-
ericson, seconded by Ald. Smith, the same Was received and filed.
Alderman Atkin presented the annual TAX ORDINA"TCF, shd moved that it
be read. the motion was seconded by Ald. ^redericson, tend was paswed by
the following vote: Ayes, Atkin, Toodfin, Fredericson, Smith. *Toes.none.
The Ordinance was read in full:
On motion of Ald. Atkin, seconded by Ald. Smith the ordinance was passed
to its second reading, the following being the vote: Ayes, Atkin, %Voodfin,
Fredericson. noes, none..
The Ordinance was read in full.
The said Ordinance containing an emergency clsase, Ald. Atkin made a motion
that the usual rules for passing ordinance be suspended, that the ordinance
hereafter be read by caption, and passed to its third reading. Tnemotson
was seconded by Ald. 7/ileox, and was passed by the following vote: Ayes,
Atkin, Fredericson, Toodfin, Smith. Noes, none.

pass it third reading and read by caption. The motion carried by the

A 9z�ary Ordinance was presented by Alderman Atkin who moved that it
be read in full. Ald. ?'rederieson.secnnded the motion, which carried by the
following vote: Ayes, Atkin, Yoodfin, nredericson, Smith. noes, none
Ordinance was read infull. On motion of Ald. Atkin, seconded by Ald.
Fredericson, on Account of an emergency clause contained there in, that
the usual rules for passing ordinances be suspended, that the said
ordinance be hereafter read by Caption and be passed to its second
reading. The motion carried. The following is the vote: Ayes, Atkin,
Toodfin, Fredericson, Smith. Noes, none.

said ordinance be passed to its third reading. The motion passed by the
following vote: Ayes, Atkin, Fredericson, '7oodfin, Smith. 'Toes, none.

the same be passed, finally. The following was the v6te;- Ayes,
Atkin, 77oodfin, ^redericson, smith. 'Toes, none. The Ypyor declared

The Yayor stated that the annual election order would be issued in
due time, for the purpose of electing a mayor and two alderman for
the ensuing term of office, the said election to be the First Tuesday
in April, 1952.
