On this date the City Council met in regular session, Tlayor C. S.
Griffith presiding, the following were present: Aldermen: J. T.
Atkin, F. Ki, Frederieson, C. "I. Hamilton, F. C. Smith and A. C.
Woodfin; City Ysnager Lee e. Mack, Attorney for the City W. H.
Nunn. Officers: A. F. Fickle, marshal; Y. L. Cates, secretary,
On motion of Ald. F. K. ?Frederieson, seconded by Ald. J. T. Atkin,
The minutes for the last regular and sdjourned session of the
Council were approved.
At the session of the Council on February 19, the Vayor appointed
a committee of two aldermen,t-namely,=..Fe C --Smith and A. C. 7oodfin,
to meet with the Vayor and City Y nager to study the proposed raise
in telephone rates as presented by The Southwestern States Telephone
Company, and to report their reeormedations thereof to the Council.
The Committee reported their findinbrs. On motion of Ald. C. C. IT, -mil -
ton, which wa= '�nec�) d�_�y Ald. J[. T. Atkin, the committee's Report
was reeeived? t t an pposing vote.
City Yanager Lee C. Black made is regular monthly report, including
the reports of the City Ycrehal and the City Treasurer, and also the
current bills and accounts, amounting to $574.75. On motion of Ald.
Hamilton, seconded by Ald. 'Voodfin the reports were received for
filing and the accounts ordered paid.
There occuring no further business, the Council Adjourned.
