February 12th, 1951
The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Vayor
C. S. Griffith presiding, the following being present: Lee C.
Black, city manager:Aldermen, J. T. Atkin, C. C. Hamilton, F. R.
Fredericson, F. C. Smith, A. C. Toodfin. Officers: T. H.' Nunn,
attorney for the city; C. S. Sanders, tax assessor -collector;
A. P. Pickle, city marshal; V% L. Cates, secretary.
On motion of Aldo Fredericson, the minutes of the last session
were approved.
City Va.nager read his monthly report, also the reports of City
Treasurer, C. S. Sanders,asseisor-collector, city marshal# and
accounts amounting to $534.79. nn motion of Aldo Fredericson'Pnd
seconded by Aldo Smith the reports were received for filing and
the accounts ordered paid.
TAX ORnINANCE for the year 1951 was read, -in full by 'Ordinance
Committeeman J. T. Atkin, who made a motion that it'be passed to
the second reading, under the suspension of the usual rules for
passing ordinances, and the same be read by caption. The motion was
seconded by Aldo A. C. Tooddin, and was passed by the following
vote: Ayes, Atkin, Fredericson, Hamilton, Smith, Toodfin. Noes,
none.

Said Ordinance was passed finally, on motion of Ald. Atkin, seconded
by Aldo Fredericson, the following being the votes Ayes, Atkin,
Fredericson, Hamilton, Smith, Toodfin, Noes, none.
The Mayor dFclared the ordinance duly passed.

by 61rdinande Committeeman Atkin, who moved it be mead 'in full.
the motion was seconded by Aldo Fredericson, and was unanimously
passed. The Ordinance was read in full, as recorded in the ordinance
book.
Aldo Atkin moved the naiid.l rules applying to the passing of emergency
ordinances, be hereby suspended, that the seine be hereafter read by •
caption before each successive vote, and be passed to the second read-
ing. The motion was seconds by Aldo Hamilton, and was passed by the
following votes Ayes, Atkin, Fredericson, Hamilton, Smith, Toodfin.

Ordinance read by Caption. On the motion'of Ald'. "Voodfin, seconded
by Aldo .Atkin, that the said r`rdinanse be passed its third reading.
The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Atkin, Brddericson,

Ordinance read by Caption. Aldo Atkin'mwed that it be finally
passed. The motion was seconded by Aldo Smith, which motion carried
by the following vote: Atkin, Fredericson, Hamilton, Smith, ''Voodfin.

The b'..ayor declared the same duly passed.
On motion of Aldo* 7% Smith, seconded by A1d.A. C. Woodfin, the
City Tanager was authorize.i to receive bids on a new truck for the
city utilities -department.
A motion was made and duly seconded that the meeting adjourn to
Feb. 190 1951 to further consider an ordinance changing the City
Charter pertains to elective and a..pnointive off.icialg, and such
other business as mFy properly be brought before it. The Motion
carried unanimously.
