Griffith presiding, the following officials, members and alderme.A being present: City I`anager Lee C' Black: Attorney for the City T. H. 'Tuan; Aldermen: J. T. AtkiRv E. h. Fredericson, C. C. Hcmilton, F. C. Smith, end A. C. Woodfin. Officers; A. P. Pickle, city marshal and 2,'. L. Ce.tes, secretary. On motion of Alderman Atkin, seconded by A1dFrman F. K. Prederieson, the minutes of the previous meeting were ap*iroved. City Ysnager Lee C. Black read his monthly report including, the usual officials reports, and the accounts amounting to 4410.82. Ald. Atkins moved that the said reports be received and filed, and all accounts be paid. Ald Smith seconded the motion which carried. Pursuant to the request of the Taxi OperPtors in the City, that they be permitted to raise their transportation charges, the following Resolttion was presented and read to the council by Iw eommitteeman J. T. Atkiw: 11 " A Resolution Fixing the Rates that may be ChRrged by Licensed Taxi Operators in the City of Georgetown, Texas." "Be it Resolved, That the rate of chane for fares within the City . of Georgetown, Texas, that may be collected by taxi Operators may be 35o for each passenger, whom but one is being carried: however when two or more is being carried to the same destination: the charge shall be 25c for each passenger." The Council passed a motion authorizing the sale of the small buildings at the city cotton yard. A special vote of appreciation 71as given to City 'Frarshall A. P. s Pickle, and the city police force for the splendid service they performed, especially, during the past month.
