Griffith, presiding, the following were present: City Manager Lee C. Black, I. X. Nunn, attorney for the city; Aldermen: J. T. Atkin, C. C. Hamilton, C. Smith, A. C. 'Voodfin. Pfficers, A. P. Pickle, city marshall, Y. L. Cates, Secretary. Minutes of the last meeting were approve_ Re\orrected The following Resolution was passed unanimously on motion of Ald. F. C. Smith, seconded by Ald. J. T. Atkins "Be it resolvent by the City Council that we approve the spirit of the Recreation Board, and its purpose it is seeking to accomplish, and direct that tke Mayor appoint a committee of two mwmbers from the Council to be known as the Recreation Committee, to cooperate with the public Recreation Board." E The Vayor Appointed J. T. Atkin and $-.-!�L Frederieson of the City Park committee as the Recreation Committee. City Yanager Lee C. '?lack read his July report, rnd the reports of other city officials, including the accounts presented the city, in the amount of,..�275.52. On motion of Ald. r'. C. Smith, seconded by Ald. A. C. Toodfin, the reports were received and filed, and the accounts ordered paid. Ald. A. C. 'Toodfin made,-n-r.nti©n j which wns seconded by Ald. Hamilton, that $2,000.00 be transferred from the Utility fund to the Special Utility Fund. The motion carried. The Carnival Ordinance, which specifies certain restrictions in showing in the city limits, was read at its second reading, and modified, and on motion by J. T. Atkin, seconded by Q. C.
