Georgetown, Texas, July 28th, 1949
The City Council hiet in regular adjourned session on the above date,
Yfayor C. S. Griffith presiding, the following were present. City
Vana.ger Lee C. Rla.ck, Aldermen: J. T. Atkins, C.C.Hamiltons W.P.
Ho Mean, fir., Sam E. Harris and Fred Cooper Smith.. T. H. Nunn,
Attorney for the city, A. P. Fickle, marshal, M.L.Cates, secretary.
The following bids for the extension and improvements of the
proposed water works project as per the plans and specifications
prpared by Yr. Yarvin Turner, engineer employed by the City,
were read, as follows:

It appearing that R. "d. Smith Conctruction Co., of Austin and
Houston, Texas was the low bidder, therefore a motion was made by
Aldermen Sam F. Tiarris, that a contract for the construction
of the 7ater .Yorks System as heretofore proroseo be awarded
the said R. T. Smith Construction Companypoand that the Y"ayor
of the City of Georgetown, Texas, be hereby authorized to
execute and sign: the contract, with the said R. 'T. Smith Con-
struction Company. The motion was seconded by Alderman C.C.Iiam-
ilton, and was carried unanimously by the City Council.
