June 8th, 1949.
The City Council me in regular adjourned session on the above date,
Va,yor C. S. Griffith,presiding, the following aldfrmen, members of
the Council being present: Aldermen,a. T. Atkin, C. C. Hrimiltonp
and Fred Cooper Smith. Lee. C. Black, City Yanager; Y. L. C^tea,
Secretary.
The following bids for truck eha.sis were opened:
Georgetown Motors, G.'l.C......31921.08
'Y. G. Lord, Ford .............. 1801.98
Compton Chevrolet Co.,........ 1698.64
Treuhart Yotors, Studebaker... 1940.00
Compton Chevrolet Co. appearing to be the lowest bidder, a motion
was made by Alderman C. C. H^.milton, and seconded by Ald-rman
Fred Cooper Smith, that after checking all bids with the speeifi-
fications required for the chasis, that the City Yansger be
authorized to execute a contract, accordiigly. The motion carried
by a unanimous vote of the Council.

The Park-110i'llanufaeturing Co., Garbage Collection Unit, having
submited a price of $2580.00 on thir garbage unit, which specifi-
cation appearing to be satisfaeory to all concerned, a motion was
made by Alderman C. C. M milton, and seconded bt Alderman Atkin,
that City tanager Lee C. Black be authorized to sign a contract
with the above named company for said unit.
There Occuring no further business the Council adjourned.
