The City Couneil met in regular sespion An the rbovet date, Yryor C.S.
Griffith presiding, the following aldermen and officials being present:-
Aldormen J. Thatcher Atkins, C. C. Hamilton, W. P. HoffmPn, Jr., and
Sam E. Harris. City Yzanager Leo C. 31ack, Officers: C. S. S,nders,
assessor and Collector; A. r. tickle, marshal, Pnd Y. L. Cotes, Secretary.
The minutes of the prvious session were read, enrrected and approved
on the motion of Ald, Farris.
On motion of Ald. Atkin the reports of City 1.lPnagRr I.ee C. '�l�ck,� includ
ing the mrrsha.l's resport, the report of treasurer and C. S. S9 der ,
a.sseesor and collector, and bills and accounts in the amount o $416.57,
were received and filed and the accounts ordRrred paid.
A resoultion embodied in the Deed to John Cluck, transferring a twentyfoot
alley at the end of South Pines Street to the city its consideration for
a 30 -foot street also at the end of South Pine Street wens passed by
the Council, on motion of Ald, Stem 1. Harris , seconded by Alderman
J. Thatcher Atkins.
The following resolution regarding Street obstruction by fallen limbs,
or trees wa.s on motion of Ald. IIP.rris, seconded by Ald. Atkins, passed
by the Council;
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of gPnrpPtn�rn.:,
Texre:
That the City I'nnPFer of the said City is authorizes end directed to
{rive notice to the property owner or owners having trees in front of
their property, between the said pro;^erty and they street if any of such
trees have fallen, or any limb from se?me has fallen on the sidewrlk or
on the street; to remove said tree or limb at once, P.nd that if the
said owner shall fail to move: the same the City r,:FnAge. r shell cause
the said tree or limb to be moved,at the expense of such property owner,
not to exceed a cost of '10.00. That in givinp such notice the., City
Ym neCer shall direct thP.t the obstruction shall be promptly removed
by the owner of the property, at the s^id owner's expense, and upon his
fvilure to do so, the City I`Pnr-rpr shall remove such obstruction as
herein Provided."
There occurring no further business the Cnuneil Pdjourned.

The Council discussed at length the proposal of erecting nn
elevated 'Inter Tank for the purpose of-, creating an additional pressure
for all practical purposes.
At the conclusion of the discussion, Ald. C. C. Il�:milton made
a, motion thrt City Ifanauer 'lack negotiate the purchasing of 12 -inch
water pipe -nd pumps and other water esqu pment from the- 'gar assets
ikocate.:. at mp Claybourne, Louisiana,. Duly sec ndr te mot nn
carried unanimously. 4.
