LTMWG ADYALORM TAXES F'CR THE XEAR 19.55, AND
DIRECTING THE COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF
SAID TAXES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE DITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGET07M, TMUS t
That for the year '1955, there shall be levied and collected.
an advalorem tax of one & 25/100 ( $1.25) dollars, on all property subject
to taxation by said City, under the constitution and laws of the State of.
Texas, as per the lst.day of January , 1955, and at a tax rate of one & 25/100
(g1V25) dollars cc each one hundred ($100.00) dollars in valuation.
That when the said taxes , are oolleoted, the same shall be
applied and paid out as follows
1, To the General Fund, for the support and maintenanoe of the
government of the said City 41.07, of each one & 25/100 dollars oolleoted•
2. To the tondrFhnd, of that series of bonds of the said City, known
as Street Bonds, 10 cents, of each one & 25/100 dollars, oolleoted•
3. To the Bond'Fund, of that series of bonds of the said City known
as Airport Bonds, 8 cents of each one & 25AOO dollars, oolleoted.
The fact that prompt preparation must be made for the assessing
and collection of taxes for the year 1955, creates an emergency requiring
the rules providing that an ordinance shall be read at three separate
meetings before final passage shall be suspended, and such rules are here and
now suspended and this ordinance passeds and it ;is ordered that it take
effect from and after its passage.
