Nelson explained that it was scheduled to be accommodating to the developer, because, if it could not be conducted in this way the next schedule would have been April through July. Jonrowe asked why a public hearing could not be heard 2 weeks from now. City Attorney, Charlie McNabb explained that the City Council meeting schedule of the 2"d and 4th Tuesdays of the month would not mesh with the requirement to have the hearings between 20 and 40 days. He noted that the developer would have had to wait until a time in the annual calendar where there are 3 weeks between council meetings. McNabb said the developers schedule did not allow waiting. Jonrowe said she is concerned about doing the back to back public hearings and asked to see the slide with the proposed schedule again. Jonrowe noted that there was ample time for citizens to weigh in. Mayor Ross said there are actually 5 opportunities for people to speak. C.
