Georgetown, Texas, April 12/1948
The City Council met in regular session on the aboge date, Mayor George
C. Hester Presiding. The following wrere present: Lee C. Black, city
manager, Aldermen: J. T. Atkin, C. C. Hamilton, W. P. Hoffman Jr,,
Sam B. Woleox and Sam B. Hatris. X, P. Piekle,'City Marshal; C. S.
Sanders, assessor -Collector,; W, H. Nunn, Atty, for the City; M. L.
Cates, secretary,
On motion of Sam E. Harris the minutes of the previous meeting were
approved.
The Report of City Manager Blitck was read, which included the re-
ports of city marshal and city treasurerg also the bills and accounts
amounting to $404,72, On motion of Ald. Hoffman the reports were re-
ceived and filed, and the bills and accounts oredered paid
Mr, Lord, Chairman of the parade committee for the Centennial was
present and invited the Council and other city officials to ride in
the parade.
A motion was made by Ald F�kie, seconded by Ald. Harris that the
City Council , tinstal toilet facilities, electricity in the San
Gabriel Park and Centennial Grounds, and the policing thereof during
the Centennial. The motion unanimously passed.
On motion of Ald Atkin, seconded by Ald Harris, that City Manager
Black be authorize to confer with Manager of Chember of Commerce
Pool regarding the removal of Bleachers from Camp Swift to George-
town, and to negotiate the deal with the proper authoirities. The
motion carried.
Motion by Atkin, seconded by Ald. Harris, that the City Council
participate in the Summer Recreational program to the amount not
exceeding $750.00, The motion was carried, the following being the
vote: Ayes: Atkin, Hoffman, Harris, Tilcox. Noes --Hamilton,
Alderman A J.T. Atkin and fild, C. C. Hamilton was appointed by Mayor
Hester to canvass the election returns of April 69 1948: The Com-
mittee reported as follows:

The Mayor declared the above-named duly and constitutionallyeleeted
to the above named respective offices for the ensuing two years,
after which the oath of office was duly administered.
There appearing no further bisiness the Council adjourned.
