Hester presiding, tke following aldermen and officers being pres- ent: Aldermen; J. TkatcketR Atkins T. p. Hoffman.jr., Sam :T. Harris, and Sam E. Wilcox. On motion pf Alderman Sam Parris, seconded by Ald. Hoffman, minutes of tke previous meetings of tke Council were approved. Mr. Cunningkam, of tke lodges Drug, was present and inquired of tke availibily of temporary parking space for car in front of kis busi- ness kouse, wken tke inclemency of tke weatker prevented deliveries from bicycles. The Council postponed action, pending furtker investigation by tke zity manager. Mr. Sid Eanes made application for a permait to operate a taxi, requesting parking spate for same on tke nortk side of kis cafe, said taximVermit to be known as No. 5. Onmotion of Alderman Harris tke Gouncil approved tke application, including parking space witkout tke removal of parking meter tread. On motion of Alderman S. L. Wilcox, seconded by Ald. W. F. Hoffman, tke I.O.©.F Cemetery Committee was granted permission to extend tke cemetery property to include a tract of land *e Nortk of tke present cemeXtery tke committee propose to purekase from Soutkwestern Uni- versity, containing acres. Tke motion included; a committee composed 66 Sam E. Wilcox and Sam Harris, appointed by tke Mayor to eooperatate witk said cemetery committee in arranging essential details deetedereetvtenthtoTtk6ipublis. Tke motion carried. An Ordinance giveng tke police department of tke city autkority to make arrestMe witkou a warrant was presented and read, and +M passed un*"UrIY ��, udrnance on page 214- A City Manager Lee C. Black presented kis montkly report, including tke reports of City Treasurer, and City Marskall, and bills and ac- counts in tke amount of $413.50. On motion of Ald Harris tke Council received and filed said reports and ordered tke bills and accounts be paid. A motion was made by Alderman Hoffman, and passed, allowing paralel parking on Higkway 81, east side of tke street from tke elley to tke rear of tke Lockett Building, now occupied by A&' store, to tke corner of Davis property.
