The City Council met in adjournedv session on the above date,
Mayor George C. Hester presiding, Present City Manager Lee C. Black.
Aldermen: Atkin, Hoffman Wilcox, Harris. Ald Hamilton being absent.
Officers; Marskall A.P.Pickle and Sec. V. L. Cates
The Committee appointed by tke Mayor to look into tker matted ®f
increasing the city police force in order tI& afford the city all-
night protection reported tkey would recommend suck increase, as
well as the purchase of an automible to be used by the police department
beth day and night. On motion by Alderman Atkitseeconded by Wilcox
Ike City manager Was instructed to employe anotker deputy marshall
at a salary of $165.00.
A motion was Made by Aid. Sam B. Wilczox, seconded by
that xikx that tke salaries of city laboreres be increased is 10 cents
per hour, also all utility employes, and tkat City Manager, Lee C;
Black be�,,vaid 4500.00 per year, and city marskall Pieklenbe paid
$lV5.00'�! Mke motion Carried.
Th ere occurring no further bisiness tke Coukcil adjourned.
