Hester presiding, the following mamherrx were present: City Manager N Lee C. Black, Aldermen J. Thatchery Atkin, C.C.Hamilton, T. P. Hoffman Jr. Sam E. Harris, Sam E. Tilcox. Officials: G.H. Nunn, attorney for the city; C. S. Sanders, Assessor and Collector; A. P. Pickle , city marshall; M. L. Cates, Secretary. Officers reports: Assessor -Collector C. S. Sanders, and City Ma.nsger Lee C. Black, who also read the report of City Treasurer Estella Byrom, City Marshall A. P. Pickle, and bills and accounts,in the amount of 4222.11 were read and on motion of Alderman Wilcox the reports of officers were received and filed and all bill ordered paid. On motion of Alderman Atkin, the Council authitixed the puchase of 300 feet of fire hose. Ald. On motion of Sam E, -Harris,, seconded by Ald. Wilcox, the Council unanimously x-otedotddrequest the registgnation of Tir.'Luke Mankin from the office of city recorder because of ill health. On motion of Alderman Vilcoxg the Council authorized City manager to obtain payments from property owners on unpaved streets', adjacent to th&ir property, for the purpose of beginning a street paving program. T There occurring no further business, the council adjourned, subject call. Hester presiding, Those present: Aldermen J. Thatcher Atkin, C. C. Ham- ilton, T. P. Hoffman, Jr., Sam E. Harris' Sam R. Wilcox, ratdreity Manager Lae 0. black and T. H. Nunn, Atty. for the City. Sam E. Harris topbrted for the city secretary. The resignation of Mr. Luke Mankin from the office of City Recorder was read, and on motion of Ald. Wilcox# seconded by Ald. Hoffman the tesignation was accepted. Mayor George C. -Hester appointed Billy Davis City Recotder for the unexpired term created by the resignation of Mr. Mankin. On motion of Ald. Atkin, seconded by Ald. Harris, the appointment was unanimously approved by the Council. On motion of Alderngan Sam E. 'Iilcaxf seconded by Ald " S.' T. Atkin, City manager Lee C. Black was given authority to do extension work on the electric distribution system. There appearing no further business the Council adjourned.
