Hester presiding, the following officers and members 6ft eh the council were present: Aity Managers Lee'Black; Aldermen; J. R. Chastain, C. C. -Hamilton, W. H. Hoffman, Jr., Sam F, WilCoxriantidd Sam E. Harris. Officials: T. H. Nunn ,attorney for the city; C. S. Sandersp assessor and collector and M. L. Cates, Secretary. The Minutes of the previous meeting were anprovedt on motion of Sam E. Tilcox, A Resolution was presented the Council by Ordinance Committeeman J. R. Ch astain, with the following Caption: "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, authorizing the Mayor of said City to make deed to lot described in Deed from Paul C. Howard and Wife to said City, of Record in Vol. 3349 page 4319 Deed Records, William- son Bounty, Texas:" (See pages 186-a, for Resolution in- full). . ��,.�! Alderman J. R. Chastain moved that the said Resolution be rs :�il,%k The motion was seconded by Alderman Sam E. Harris. The motion passed unanimously. The Ordinance was read in full: On motion of Alderman Hoffman, seconded by'Alderman Chastain, that the usual rules requiring that ordinances and resolutions be read each consecutive meeting, be suspended, that the said Ordi.ananee be read by Caption and passed to the second reading. The motion was passed by the following vote: Ayes --Chastain, Hamilton, Hoffman, 1,Vilcox, Harris, Noes --None. Ordinance Read By Caption: On motion of Alderman Chastain, seconded by Alderman Harris,.that the Usual rules for passing ordinances be suspended and that the same be read by Caption and passed to the third reading was passed.by the following vote. Ayes --Chastain, Hamilton, Hoffman, Iffilcox, Harris. Noes --None. Ordinance read by Caption On motion of Alderman Chastain, seconded by Alderman Iffilcox that the said ordinance be finally passed. The motion carried by the following vote: Uas--Chastain, Hamilton, Hoffman# Wilcox Harris, Noes. None, THE UTILITY Ordinance ( See page L85 B) "ras presented by Committeeman Chastain, who moved the same be read in full. The motion was seconded by Alderman Sam E. Harris and was passed Unanimously. Om Motion of Alderman Hoffman all approved bills and accounts were ordered paid. On motion of Alderman Chastain'The report of Assessor-ffollector C. S.
