The -'City Council met in called session on April 4th,
meeting was called to order by Mayor Y. F. Smith at

W. P. Hoffman, Jr., Sam E. Wilcox and Alderman Elect
Officers; 12, L. Cates, City Secretary.

A motion was made by Alderman Chastain, which was seconded by Alder-
man Wilcox# authorizing Yayor Smith to sign the contract -for the
drilling of a well, Said Contract being between the said Cityhof Axxx
Georgetown, Texas, and the Layme-Texas Companyp Ltd., after the ap-
proval of the same by Attorney W. H. Nunn. The motion was carried.
