January 14th, 194
The City Council met on the above date in regular session at the
residence of Alderman and Mrs. C. C. Hamilton, Mayor M. F. Smith
pesided, the following offficials were present: Aldermen F. R. Buchholz
J. R. Chastain, C. C. Hamilton, W. P. Hoffman, Jr., and S. Be'
Wilcox. Officers, C. S. Sanders, assessor -collector; City Manager
Be H. Cruce, Me L. Cates, Secretary.and Attorney W. H. Nunn.
On motion of Alderman Hoffman, the minutes were approved as read.
On motion of Alderman J.,R. Chastain, all approved accounts were
ordered paid.
The Airport Committee reported that it was decided the city wotld
place the roofing on the hanger at the airport, using its own labor.
Dr. Hobson Vartin,`commander of the local American Legion Post,
and Attorney William H. Davis, Adj. of the logal Post, presented
a resolution, -authorizing the execution of a lease with the AbeHarrison
Post No. 174 of the American Legion, said lease correcting certain
portion of the original lease, as recorded in Vol 324 at page 566,
Deed of Records of Williamson County, containing a mutual mistake.

Utes. On motion of Alderman J. R. Chastain, seconded by Alderman
S. Be Wilcox, the said Resolution was unanimously passed by the
Counoilp and the same officially executed and filed.
A motion was made by Alderman W. P. Hoffman, Jr., and seconded by
Alderman J. R. Chastain, authorizing Alderman C. C. Hamilton,
committeeman, sell lad off the west end of the City Nrgro Ceme-
tery located West of Georgetown.
On motion of Alderman C. C. Hamilton , seconded by Alderman J. R. Sk
Chastain, the Council voted unanimously to employ Mr. Lee Black
City Manager, to succeed Mr. Be H. Cruce, resigned, at a salary of
0300.00 permonth, the said Mr. Black to begin active duties
January 219t, 194.
