The'City Council met in the home of Alderman C. C. Hamilton, on the
above date, Mayor M. F. Smith presiding, all of the members of the Council
were presents also City Manager B. H. Cruces C. S. Sanders, tax assessor
and collector, and M. L. Cates# secretary. -
Mr. B. H. Cruce tendered his resignation as City Manager of Georgetownp
to become effective Saturday# January 5th, 19469 at noon. Alderman
J. R. Chastain moved that the resignation be accepted, Alderman Hoffman
seconded the motion. The motion was passed unanimously. The alderman
And:off'icials present expressed their regrets and also appreciation
efficiency in the position which he held „ and.wished him well as
manager of Edinburg, Texas.
The applications of Mcity manager postion of'Messrs. T. P. Young,
Milton Lindell 9 and ei C. Black were read, Mr. Black, of IT.6r.ple
being present the Council discussed his application with him tnten-
sivley. No action was taken on the apllications.
Manager Cruce stated that he had an offer from Mr. Shipp to contract
the placing of a roof on the airport hanger.. On motion of Alderman
BucKaWllcox, it was decided to turn the matter over to the Airport
Committees MAldermen Buchholz. and Chastain.
On motion of Alderman Chastain, seconded b y Alderman.Buchholz, that
Assessor -Collector Sanders be employed as acting city manager until
a regular manger is employed.
There occurring no further business the Council adjourned.
