The City Council met in called session onthe above dates Mayper
M. F. Smith presiding, all members of the Council being present.
4 motion was made by Alderman Hamilton, seconded tkat by Alderman
F. F. Buchholz that the city furnish two men to assist in the Rat
Killing campaign. the said motion was carried.
A motion was made by Alderman Hamilton and seeohded by Alderman
Chastain that Firemen Max Sansom wash the city fire trucks. The
motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Hamilton seconded by Wilcox that the Fire
Department be turned over the City Manager Department, of which
Be H. Cruce is at present the City Manager, and the City Manager
is hereby instructed to see that the equipment and building be
kept clean, workable and in good state of repair. The motion
was carried unanimously.
Mr. Free Cooper Smith talked to the Council requesting the Council
to purchase 3 100-K.V.A. transformers for additional electric
power. A motion was made by Alderman Chastain and seconded by
Alderman T'lilcox, that City Manager Be H. Cruce be authrized to
purchase the three 100-kva Transformers. The motion carried.
A motion was made b y Chastain and seconded by Buchholz that the
Council adjourn. The motion carried.
