December 11th, 1944
The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
M. F. SvITHpresiding, the following aldermen and officers being present;
Aldermen; F, F. 'Ruchholz, J. R. Chastain, C. C. Hamilton, T. R. Hoffman,
Jr., and S. F. "ilcox. Officers# Mayne 11agill, marshall; City Assessor
and Collector, C. S. Sanders; Ir. L. Cates, secretary and City Manager
B. H. Cruce.
On motion of Alderman Hoffman, the minutes of the last meeting were
approved,
onm motion of Alderman Chastain all approved accounts were ordered paid.
Officers Reports, including the assessor and collector, Yteasurer, and City
marshal were read and on motion of Alderman Chastain were ordered filed.
On motion of Alderman TT. P. Hoffman, Jr. and seconded by Alderipah J. R.
Chastain, Cite Assessor and Colleetoridf-lTaxes, C. S. Sanders, was
charged with,19496taxes to the amount of $260026.12.
On motion of Alderman -J. R. Chastain, seconded by Alderman C7. C. ' Hamil-
ton, the mayor was intructed to execute the contract of lease with the
Abe Harrison Post American Legion, No. 1749 of Georgetown, Texas, as
per Resolution herein recorded on pages 153-A to 153-e inclusive of
these minutes.
There occuring no further business, the Council adjourned.
