The following Aldermen were present; F. E. Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, C. C. Hamilton, W. P. Hoffman, Jr. and S. E. Wilcox, also B. H. Cruce, manager of City Utilities. The following resolution was pesented and read: ( "Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, authorizing the Maypr to contract with J. E. Lyons for the building of a concrete platform at the San Gabriel Park." le It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown: "',7hereas, J. E. Lyons, has made a proposition to the City o �, of Georgetown, that he will build a concrete platform Et San Bab - 0' riel Park, that will be suitable for dancingpt and other purposes, for the consideration that the said city grant him the sole right to place thereon a nickelodeon (jute box) and receive and collect J;k the revenues from such instrument, Therefore; The said city, hereby gives to M. F. Smith, "its mayor, full authority, to, for and in behalf of the said city, make a contract with the said J. E. Lyons, embodying terms and conditions that will carry out the above proposition, and will fully protect the rights of the said city. " Passed and approved this the 28th day of June D. L944. Buchholz, that the above Resolution be passed. The resolution was passed by the following vote: Ayes --4, viz; Buchholz, Chastain, Hamilton, Wilcox. Noes, None. Viz; W. The following Aldermen and officers were present: Aldermen; F. E. Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, C. C. Hamilton, W. P. Hoffman, Jr., and S. E. Wilcox. Officers; Wayne Magill, marshal, 11. L. Cates, Secretary. On motion of Alderman Buchholz the minutes of the previous session were approve. On motion of Alderman Hoffman all approved accounts were ordered paid. On motion of Alderman W, P. Hoffman, Jr., secoended by Alderman F. E. Buchholz, the Council by unanimous vote authorized Manager of Utilities B. H. Cruce to purchase seven kxdx War Bonds, or less, according to funds available, during the present band campaign. There appearing no further business, the Coubeil adjourned. Pier or.
