The City Council met in regular session on the above mate,
Mayor IA. F. Smith presiding, the following aldFrman and officers
were present: Aldermen F. F. Buchholz, S. R. Chastain, C. C. Hamil-
ton, W. P. Hoffman, Jr. and S. E. Wilcox. Officers: Albert Reay
Varshall, M. L. Cates secretary, and Manager R. E. '*lard.
On motion Of S. E. Wilcox the minutes of the previous meeting
were approved as read.
On motion of Alderman J. R. Chastain all approved accounts
were ordered paid.
The Council heard the report of the auditing Committee chairman,
Mr. Lee Taylor, who highly complimented the the City Council and
the water and light , and sewer departments as to the financial
status of the city in general, and offered a few suggestions
merely for the consideration of the council which might be
practical in the future.
A Motion was made by,Alderman Hamilton that the report be
accepted. Said motion was seconded by Alderman 7. P. Hoffman
Jr. and carried by unanimous vote of the council.
There appearing no further business the Council adjourned.
