HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 03.15.1943 CC-SGeorgetown, Texas March 15/43 The City Council met in adjourned session on the above date, Ifayor Vayor V. F. Smith presiding, the following aldermen and officers were present: Aldermen: F. E. Buchholz, J. P. Chastain, C. C. Ham- ilton, W* P. Hoffman, 1r., -and S.mE. Wilcox. Officers: Albert Ilay marshal and Y. L. Cates, Secretary and R. E. 'yard Vanager of Utilities. Yanager R. E. Tard read his annual report of the condition of the Water and Light and Sewer System of the City, and on motion of Alderman C. C. Hamilton the same was received and filed. Vayor Smith named Cllr. Lee V, Taylor, Ix, Claude Eads- and Mr. Henry Chrietzberg as an auditing committee to audit the city books for the past year. On motion of J. P, Chastain, seconded by W, P. Hoff- man, Jr. the council ratified the appointment. The 'silk ordinance was again taken up for consideration. The Council deemed that an emergency did not exist; therefore itwas thought best to vote on the said ordinance in the regular routine requiring that ordinances be voted upon and three successive meetings: Ondftiince Committeeman read the ordinance and moved that the same be passed to its second reading. Alderman Buchholz seconded the motion. The mayor put said motion to a vote of the Council and the following was the vote: Ayes: Buchholt, Chastain, Hamilton, Hoffman, Wilcox. Noes: None.
