The City Council met in regular session on the abovb;.da#e,
Vayor M. F. Smith presiding, the following aldermen and officers
were present: M. E. Buchh lz, S.h stain, C. C. Hamilton,
W. P. Hoffman, jr., and g. COfficers, W. H. Nunn,
Attorney, C. S. Sanders, assessor and Collector, Albert May,
marshal; M. L. Cates, secretary and R. E. Ward, manager of
city utilities.
Thenciiingsfon the city -fire trucks having been condemned
by an authorized inspector, according to report of fire
Committeeman S. R. Chastain,`on motion of Alderman_'". E.
Buchholz, seconded by Alderman S. F:' Wilcox,' Alderman
Chastain was authorized to comply with the laws and
regulations governing such cases.
Alderman T. P. Hoffman, Zr.' Made- a motion that' the City
Secretary be instructed topa off,a note due the Farmers
State Bank, in the amount of 1,000.00 and interest: Ald.
C. C. Hamilton'seconded the Notion, which was passed
by the Council.
Alderman Chastain moved that the City Fire Hall -Building
be plastered on the north and gest walls. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Buchholz, and was duly passed.
On motion of Alderman F. X. Buchholz,-CitymMarshal Albert
May was instructed to proceed with the regulation of the
Bus traffic so as to eliminate traffic congestion as
much as possible.
The oecuring no further business the Council adlourned.
