The City Council met in regular monthly session on the above
dates Mayor M. F. Smith presiding, the following aldermen and officers
being present: Aldermen: F. E. Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, C. C. Hamiltons
W. P. Hoffmang Jr.q and Sam E. Wilcox. Officers, Albert May, marshals
C. S. Sanders, tax assessor and Collector; V,.H. Nunn attorney; M. L.
Cates Secretary and Manager R. E. Ward.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and on motion of
Alderman J. R. Chastain were approved.
Bills and aecountd were read and on motion of Alderman S. E. Wilcox
all approved accounts were ordered paid,
On motion of Aldeman J. R. Chastain a report of Assessor and Collector
Sanders was received and filed .
A Resolution of the City Council of the wity of Georgetown, Texas,
(which appears in full on page 222a) was read in full, by Committee-
man J. -R. -Chastain, electing to exercise its option to pay bonds
numbers 40 to 46 inclusive of the series of Bonds of the said city,
Nos. 1 to 55 inclusive, and for the sum of $19000.00 each, and known
as "the City of Georgetown Electric Light Revenue Bands"p bearing
date of ixtasast September 15th 9 19369 and issuers under authority
of an ordinance of said city dated August 18th, 1936.22" On motion
of Alderman S. E. Wileoxv seconded by W. P. Hpffman, Jr.the said
Resolution was passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Alderman Chastain and seconded by Alderman
Buchholz Buchholz, instructing the City Marshal, Albert May to
enforce the Curfew Law as appears in the ordinances of the city,
the motion passed unanimously.
A motion of Alderman F. E. Buchholz the council transferred all
payments of salaries amounting to A412.00 a week to the `dater and Light
office, on account of deductions of Vibbvy3Tax Deductions.
There accuring no further business the Council adjourned.
