September 14, 1942
The City Council met -in regular session on the above date, Mayor
V* F. Smith Dresiding, the following aldermen and officers being
present: Aldermen --F. E. Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, C. C.' Hamilton,
W. P. Hofrman, Jr., and S. E. Wilcox. Officers --C•. S. Nanders,
city tax assessor and collector: Albert May, marshal: If. L.
Cates, Secretary and R. E. Ward manager of city utilities.
The Secretary read the minutes of the previous meeting, and on
motion of Alderman Hoffman they were approved.
The Accounts were read and the council passed a motion made
by Alderman Hamilton that all approved accounts be ordered
paid.
The report of Assessor and Collector' Sanders were received and
filed on motion of Alderman J. R. Chastain.
Alderman S. E. Wilcox made the following motion: "'That Mayor
M. F. Smith, of the city of Georgetown, Texas, be and is hereby
authorized by the City Council, to borrow the sum -of $1000.00
from the Farmers State Bank of Georgetown; Texas,' and to place
the same in the General Fund of Said City." The motion wan
seconded by Alderman F. E. Buchholz and was carried unanimously.
There appearing no further business the Council Adjourned.
