The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met in regular
session on the above date, Mayor M. F. Smith presiding, the following
Aldermen and officers being present: Aldermen: F, E. Buchholz, J. -R,
Chastain, C. C. Hamilton, W. P. Hoffman, Jr., and -Sam E. Wilcox.
Officers: H. Nunn, city attorney, C. S. Sanders, assessor and col-
lector; Albert May, marshal: R. L. -Cates Secretary and.R. E. Ward#
manager of utilities:
On motion of Alderman Buchholz, minutes of the previous meetings
were approved.
On motion of Alderman Chastain all approved accounts were ordered paid.

On Totion of S. E. Wilcox, seconded by To P. Hoffman Jr., the
monthly reports of Assessor and.Collector Sanders,, and Marshal
Albert May were received and filed.
TSn motion of Alderman Buchholz that the City accept the offer of
Commissioners Court for the use of the County jail for city,prisoners
at 75o per day while in use by city prisoners, and also approving,the
conversion of the old city calaboose into a.n.office to be used by the
manager of the city water and ii.gn;, plant was approved unanimously.
Alderman C. C. Hamilton made a_motion that the Citys secure a s uiatable
building in which to locates the County Health -Unit, and furnish the
same as requested, paying the rent therefor. The motion was seconded
by Alderman S. E. Wilcox and was passed unanimously. A committee
was appointed at last meeting to find a suitable place, with in-
structions .to make final _arrangemept$._k
On motion of Alderman.Wilcox, seconded.by Alderman J. R. Chastain,
Mr. H. R. Smoot was appointed assistant city healtIl.officer,
On motion of Alderman C. C. Hamilton, the city, oouncil.reapotnted Max
Sansom as paid city fireman at a.salaary of $100 per month, 316.00 of
said amount to be paid Mr. Sansom.weekly, the balance of.said salary
to be applied on the hospitalization_iadsothex fees inaident.to the
illness of Mrs. Max.Sansom,
