TAX ORDINANCE FOR YEAR 1942.
An ordinance of the City of @e orgetown, Texas, levying ad-
valorum taxes for the, year 1942, at the rate of one & 24/100
($1,24) dollars on each one hundred ( $100.00) dollars in
valuation; on all property subject to taxaction within and
by the said City, for the said year 1942 under the consti-
tution and laws of the State of Texas,decalre.iryan emergency:
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas:
Than for the year 1942, there shall be levied
and collected an advalorum tax of one & 24/100 ($1.24) d&llass
on each one hundred ($100.00) dollars in valuation, of all pro-
perty subject to taxation, by the said City, under the consti-
tution and laws of the State of Tems, fora the said year 1942,
and that the said taxes when so levied and collected are appro-
preated and ordered expended as follows:
(a) To pay the current expenses of the goverm pnt of
the said City as the same sahll accrue, sixty-five (65 ets. )
cents, on each oni hundred ($100.00) dollars in valuation.
(b) To the pay the principal and interest, as the
same becomes due, on all of the retaining unpaid bonds of the
said City, known as " MMM BONDS". twenty ( 20 cts) cents, on
each one hundred ($100.00) dollars in valuation.
(c) To ppy the principal and interest, as the same
becomes due on all of the remaining unpaid bonds of'Ahe said
City, known as "PAYING BONDS", eighteen (18 cts) cents, on each
one hundred ($100.00) dollars in valuation.
(d) To pay the principal and the intere st,as the MA
same accrue s, on that series of bonds of the said City, known as
" CITY OF GEORGET0111N AIRPORT BONDS", ten ( 10 eta) cents, on
each one hundred ($100.00) dollars in valuation.
(e) To the principal and interest as the same accrues
on that series of warrants of the said city, issued under ordinae--
nce of date Aug. 15th, 1938, and known as "REFUNDING WARR&NTS",
five (5 ets) Dents, on each one hundred ($100.00) dollars in
valuation.
(f) To pay the principal and interets as the 4s ---
same shall accrue, on that series of warrants of the said City,
Issued under authority of an ordinance of the said City, passed,
and approved on this date, aril know as the "CITY OF GEORGET MIN
AIRPORT WARRAM", the sum of six (6 cts) cents, on each one
hundred ($100.00) dollars, in valuation.
The fact that it is necessary to make prmpt
and efficient provissions for raising money by taxation for
the purposes above s*t out, creates and emergency, and a public
necessity, that the rules with reference to reading of ordinances
at three separate meetings befog final passages, be suspended;
and that the said: rules am here suspended.
