The City Council met on the Pbove date,"'1.T^yor Ir. F. 'pith presiding,
the -following aldermen and officers being present: -Aldermen --F. F.
Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, J. C. Godbey, C. C. 7smiltbn,-9nd S. E.`
Wilcox. Officers: W. H. "Tune, city attorney: C. S. Sanders, tax as-
sessor and collector; Albert P"ay, city marshal, 2T. L. Cates, sec-
retary and R. R. '7srd9 manager of utilities.
On motion of Alderman "luchholz the minutes of the previoub meetings
were approved.
On motion of Alderman Chastain all approved accounts were ordered
paid.

Georgetown as a prbbhble favorable loc-tion for a Government Reere-
ation building. After discussion by the council it was decided

t'he Govermmett would make of the city, upon the designation -of
Georgetown for such project, would be the land upon which to
erect the building, upon motion of Alderman C. C'."ftamilton, sec-
onded by S. E. ;xTilcox, that the Yayor Be authoriedd to enter into
contract with the aforesaid architect and engineer for the pro-
motion of the project, and all matters pertaining kmxkkx thereto
as outlined in said contract on page 105-A of these minutes.
After reading of the rerorts of C. S. Sanders , assessor and`ool-
leetor and Albert May, city marshal, the said rep orts were re-
ceived and filed, on motion of Alderman Chastain.
It having developed through Goverment Representatives-recehtly-in
consultation with the Airport Committee and Mayor Smith that ad-
ditional acreage to the recently surveyed pleat contracted for_
ba the aity, was required, Alderman J. R. Chasitin made a motion,
vrhle-K—was seconded by Alderman 3uchholz, and which passed by unani-
mous vote of the Council, -authorizing tkltxhlayor IT. F. Smith to
proceed in the purchase of said acreage as required, signing all
papers necessary therefor in order to expide therk on the
Airport.
Alderman J. C. Godbey made a motion, seconded by Alderman J. R.
Chastain, authorizing Manager R. 7. 'lard to proeeedwith erection of
a wall at the gan Gabriel Park as he had outlined to the Council.
Alderman J. C. Godbey made a motion, which was seconded by Alderman
Chastain that a resolution committee be appointed on the death
of Mr. Jeff Logan, recent deceased superintendedbetof the water
works department. The Mayor fiiamed T. r. Godbey, C.C. TTAmilton
and S. E. Wilcox.
There ocorrutng no further business the Council Adjourned.
