The City Council Met in regular session onthe above datepMayor
M. F: Smith Presiding, the following aldermen and offfeers being
presents Aldermen F. E, Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, J. C. Godbey,
C. C. HomiltoA and S. E. Wilcox. Officersj- T. K. Nunn, City attorney;
CO S. Sanders, assessor and Collector; Albert May llarshal, V. I,.
Cates Secretary and Manager of Utilities R. E. Wrad.
The minutes of the previous regular and called sessions were read#
and on moti n of Alderman Wilcox were approved.
Alderman Godbey 's motion that all approvedv acotunts be paid was
passed by the Council.
Reports of the city treasurer and tax colbetor were received and filed on motj
motion of Alderman J. R. Chastain.
Alderman J. R. Chastain Moved that the City Council purchase 200
rounds of ammunition for the local Defense ituards. The notion was
seconded by Alderman Buchholz and passed.
On motion of Aldarman Buchholz, Alderman C. C. Hamilton was given
authority to sell the '7. T'. A. sewing machines at prices according
to his judgment as fair.
On motion of Alderman J. C. Godbey, seconded by Alderman C. C.
Hamilton, the Council unanimously reemplyed Mr. R. B'. 'Ward
asvManager of City Utilities, tua salary remaining the same
as the previoua year.
