The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
149 F. Smith presiding, the following aldermen and officers being
present: Aldermen: F. Be Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, _,J. C. Godbey,
C. C. Hamilton, and S. Be Wilcox. Officers, M. L. dates, secretary;
We H. Nunn, city attorney, C. S. Sanders, assessor and collector;
Albert May marshal, and R. E. Wards manager utilities.
On motion of Alderman Buchholz, the minutes of the previous meet-
ings were approved.
On motion of Aldarman, Chastain all approved accounts were ordered
paid.
On motion of Alderman Buchholz, seconded by Alderman X. R. Chastain,
the Mayor appointed Ib a nkAxmftxftA1FriI , J. R. Chastain and F. E".
Buchholz a committee,'to copper.e with the cotton yard committeeman
in improving the cotton warehouse to conform to the requirements
fora bonded warehouse.
The monthly reports of City Marshal May and Assessor and Collector'
Sanders were received and filed on motion of Alderman J. C. Godbey.
There appearing no further business, on motion of Alderman J. C.
Godbey, seconded by Alderman S. Be Wilcox the council adjourned
to Monday eyeing at 7:459 August 18, 1941.
