The City Council met in regular session on the above date,
Mayor 11. F. Smith presiding, the following abdermen and officers
being present:.Aldermen ". N. '3uchholz, J. R. Chast ainf J. C. Godbey
and S. E.,Wilcox. Officers, Co S. San dere, assessor and Collector;
Albert TiTay, marshal; M. L. Cates Secretary, and R. R. Wardt manager
of utilities.
On muton of Alderman Chastain, the minutes of the previous
session were approved.
On motion of Alderman Godbey all approved accounts were ordered
paid.
Alderman J. R. Ghastain muted thatheheiC�ty ouurncil cawndnd the
Georgetown fire department for their efficient service and
good record made during the past year. The motion was seconded by
Alderman J. C. Godbey and was unanimously passed.
The following resolution was read by Alderman J. C. Godbey, who
moved -that the same be adopted;
Be it resolved by the city council that the following rules be.pre
scribed for the purpose of defining when and how meters shall bre read,
bills made and delivered to customers, and how payments shall be
made. Yeters shall be read a sufficientb length of time befor the last
day of the month to anable the bookkeepigg department to make out all
bills and get the same in the mails on the last day of the month.
All customers paying bills in full shall be entitled to the reg-
ular discount if the bill is paid on or before the 'f'TH . Checks re-
ceived on the 11th postmarked on the tenth shall be entitled to the
discount.
As soon as_p."sible after the tenth of each month balances
shall be made and a second not"ice 3daft mailed to delinquents. If
such delinquent bill has'not been paid by the date for billing
for the succeeding month, then said balance shall be placed on the
bill showing plainly that it is delinquent. If said.bill is not
paid on or before the 10th of the second month, said customer's
service shall be discontinued.
When any service has been discontinued for non-payment of bill,
befor such customer can be reinstated he'shall'pay up the past due
bill in full .together with a fee of 50 cents for connection charges.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Chastain and apsaed unanimously.
Alderman Willox moved that the report of Assessor and Collector
C. S. Sanders be r,eeeived and filed. The motion w���s-3econded by r

On motion of Alderman Godliey, Alderman Chastain, fire committeeman,
was authorized to purchase'a new clock for the night watchman.
On motion of AldB=an Buchholz, Manager Ward Was instructed to
purchase a stop -light for Austin Avenue at' the- H. H. Hanes
corner --13th erid Austin Ave., and also a blinker to be placed
at the city limits on Austin Avenue. P '
There occurring no further buginess the Counoil4djourned.
