The City Council ,of the City of Georgetown, Texas, Met in regular
session on the above date, Mayor Protein J. C'. Godbey, presiding,
the following aldermen and officers were present: Aldermen; F. E.
Buchholz, J. R. Ch«staing J. C. Godbey, C. C. Hamilton and
S. E. Wilcox. Officers: W. H. Nunn, city attorney; C. 'S. Sanders,
aBsessor and collector; Albert May, marshal, M. L. Cates, Secretary
and R. E. Ward, #anager of Utilities.
On motion of Alderman Chastain , minutes of the previous session
of the Council were approved as read.
On motion of Alderman Chastain all approved accounts were ordered
paid.
Resolution eommQtteeman J. C. Godbey presented the following resolution
and moved that it be passed- "Whereas, there is an overdraft in then
General Fund, As reported by the treasurer, therefore-,-"Berit Resolved
by the City Council of the City City of Georgetown, Texss, that Manager
of Utilities R. E. hard, be hereby directed to deposit a sufficient -
amount of money from the Georgetown .'dater and Light Funds to the credit
of the said General Fund to cover said overdraft at the Farmers State
Bank of Georgetown, Texas." The motion was seconded by Alderman C. C.
Hamilton, and Iras passed by a unanimous vote of the Council.
A pettiton was presented the council containing the names of fifty
or more citizens of Georgetown, Texas, requesting that an ordinance
be passed prohiting the shooting of fireeraokers-and other fire -
works on the public square. St being ascertained that, theme
zl=xd exists an ordinance covering the -same, which imposes a fine
for its violation, the matter was dropped.
On motion of Alderman Chastain, the
week's vacation for Night Watchman
Council voted the usual
A. A. Ramsel, with pay.
There occurring no further bisiness the council adjourned,
or Pro Tem
