Thr City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
Pro Tem J. C. Godbey presoding, the following aldermen and offic-
ers being present: Aldermen, F. E. Buchholz, J. R. Chastain,
C. C. Hamilton and A. E. Wilcox. Officers# W. H. Nunn, city at-
torney; C. S. Sanders, assessor and collector; Albert May, marshal;
R. E. Ward, manager Utilities and M. L. Cates, secretary.
The minutes of the previous regular and called sessions were
read and on motion of Alderman J. R. Chastain were approved.
On motion of Alderman F. E: Buchholz, all approved bills and
accounts were ordered paid.
Assessor and Collector C. S. Sanders presented his "report to the
Council and on motion of Alderman S. E. Wilcox the same was re-
ceived and filed.
Messrs. Jno. 11. Vaught, J. W. Robertson and S. S. � ere
appointed as a tax board of equalization, and as suon were
reatified by a vote of the councilmon motion of Alderman
F. E. Buchholz.
On motion of Alderman Buchholz, the Council'voted the allow-
ance of an additional five dollars to regular monthly allowance
of Nightwatchman John Sherman for one month to apply on vacation
expenses.
Manager of Utilities R. E. Ward was authorized to contract with
Mr. Macken of Austin to dredge the San Gabriel Swimming.Pool, on
the motion of Alderman S. E. Wilcox.
Mrsdaley R®V_Ji-dha 4son, 0. A. Ullrich, Duncan Cooper and Grimes,
were pleasant visXitors at the meeting, and discussed the possibilities
of opening the swimmimg pool to the public.
