The City Council met in regular session on the'above`date,
Mayor M. F. Smith presiding, aldermen and officers as follows
were presents Aldermen F. E. Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, J. C. Godbey,
C. C. Hamilton and S. E. Wilcox, Officers: `, H. Nunn, city attorney;
Lott B. Rogers, assessor and collector; Albert Mayp marshal; R. E.
Ward manager utilities andv M. L. Cates, secretary.
On motion of Alderman F. E. Buchholz, seconded by Alderman C. C.
Hamilton all approved bills were ordered paid.
A motion was made by Ald. Buchholz and seconded by Alderman S. E.
Wilcox, that Fireman Max Sanson be granted leave of absence for
a week with pay, which was carried unanimously.
A committee composed of Mr. Sam F. Henderson, Mrs. Lee A. Hall,
Mrs. Albert Towns and Mrs. Peterson appeared before the Council
to discuss with the Council Pp6n privy conditions. The circum-
stances of citizens occupying a majority of the places where
there are open privies and the outcome of forceful compliance
with sanitary requirements of a definite ordinance was duly
explained by the mayor and the council, however, the city
.expressed a desire to dispose of such nuisances as fast axct
as possible where extreme hardships were not imposed.
On motion of Alderman Chastain, seconded by Alderman Buchholz,
NighbwatchmapJL. A.`Ramsel was granted his usual week's vacation
with pay..
On motion of Alderman C. C. Hamilton the monthly reports of
Officers Albert May, marshal -and Assessor and Collector Lott B.
Rogers Were received and filed.
On motion of Alder*an J. R. Chastain, seconded by Alderman Wilcox, -
Assessor and Collector of Taxes Lott B. Rogers was charged with the
following tax rolls:,
For the year 1927p $ 12.88
Committeeman J. -C. Godbey read the following resolution, and
moved that ie be adopted:
"Resolvedp there be transferred to the Construction Fund of the
Cody Memorial Library the sum of $625.00 to cover the awarding
of the Rquipment Contract, and to submit to the Regional Dtgdnter
W. P. A. a project change order requisting the redistribution
of the funds to include the above amount."
The motion was seconded by Alderman J. R. Chastain, and was
carried unanimously, the Council voting in regular form for the
passing of resolutions.

Committeeman J. -C. Godbey read the following resolution, and
moved that ie be adopted:
