AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF THAT PORTION OF
FORREST STREET LYING SOUTH OF THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
EIGHTH STREET AND NORTH OF THE NORTH. RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
NINETH STREET IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is the owner of all land abutting upon that portion
of Forest Street in the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is in the best interests of the City and its citizens
that said portion of said Street be closed in order to increase the size and safety of the City
of Georgetown parking and storage area,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, that all of that portion of Forest Street lying south of the south Right -Of -Way line
of West Eighth Street and North of the north Right -Of -Line of West Nineth Street in the
City of Georgetown, Texas, be and the some hereby closed.
Passed and approved on first reading this 10th day of August, 1976.
Passed and approved on second reading this 14th day of September, 1976.
