HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 76-10 - Health & Housing84 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "MINIMUM HEALTH AND HOUSING STAND- ARDS ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS ON THE 11TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 1974 BY AMENDING SECTION 1 AND SECTION 4 TO REFER TO THE STANDARD HOUSING CODE,- 1976 EDITION AND BY AMENDING SECTION 103.2(c)(3) OF THE STANDARD HOUSING CODE, 1976 EDITION TO ALLOW 10 DAYS FOR PERFORMANCE OF ANY ACT REQUIRED BY SECTION 306 -SANITATION REQUIREMENTS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: Sectionl. Adoption of Minimum Housing Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1. ADOPTION OF MINIMUM HOUSING CODE The Standard Housing Code, 1976 Edition, three (3) copies of which are on file in the Office of the Clerk, is hereby adopted by reference, and incorporated as if set out fully herein, except that Section 103.2 (a)(3) of the Standard Housing Code, 1976 Edition, shall be amended to read as follows: "Allow 120 days time for the performance of any act it requires except for those established by Section 306 -Sanitation Requirements, where a maximum of 10 days will be allowed for performance." Section 4. Duties of the Housing Enforcing Official, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 4. DUTIES OF THE HOUSING ENFORCING OFFICIAL It shall be the duty of the Housing Enforcing Official to enforce all laws and provisions specified in the Standard Housing Code, 1976 Edition.
