ORDINANCE 82- 7
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING PART OF AN EASEMENT
LYING BETWEEN LOTS 1 AND 2, IN TOYAH POINT, A SUBDIVISION
IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Jessie N. Poarch,
Trustee, the owner of Lots 1 and 2 in Toyah Point, City of George-
town, Williamson County, Texas;
WHEREAS, the petition states that part of the public utility
easement running along and 10 feet either side of the common boundry
between Lots 1 and 2, more fully described in the attached Exhibit "A",
of said subdivision has not been used for any public utilities and that
more convenient and servicable easements do exist, and;
WHEREAS, the petitioner states that he desires to construct a
structure and fences that would extend across the common boundry lines
between the above mentioned lots and that it is desirable that said
portion of this easement be abandoned and vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, that the easement described in Exhibit "A", is here-
by vacated, closed and abandoned, except that the City of Georgetown
reserves for itself or for any public utility company, the right to main-
tain, repair and replace any water, sewer or other utility lines presently
located in, upon or over said easement.
READ, PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading this 12th day of October, 1982.
