AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES,
OPERATING HOURS AND OPERATING
PROCEDURES FOR USE OF THE GEORGE-
TOWN COMMUNITY CENTER IN SAN
GABRIEL PARK.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1. Rental Rates and Deposits for the Ase of the Georgetown Community
Center are to be as follows:
Rent for half of the building $100.00
Rent for the whole building 150.00
Key Deposit 10.00
Damage Deposit 50.00
Clean-up Deposit, other than dances 50.00
Clean-up Deposit for dances 100.00
Dances must rent the whole building, even though only half may be needed.
M Chamber of Commerce, City functions, Police and Firemen, and governmental
00 extension services are free.
d' The Ministerial Alliance, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, Garden Club and
0 Athletic Associations such as Little League may use the building free one
Q time each year. Any other time is $50.00 All of the above organizations
Q must be Georgetown sponsored. Every other person or organization must pay
the full rental amount and deposit unless prior approval is given by the
City Council.
Section 2. Rental hours shall be as follows:
Sunday through Friday 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM
Saturday 7:00 AM to 2:00 AM
Hours pertain to use of the building, not alcoholic consumption.
Section 3. Procedures for the use of the building shall be as follows:
1. Payment of both rental and deposits shall be made two weeks
in advance. If payment is not received, the building reserva-
tion will be cancelled.
2. Two law enforcement personnel from the Georgetown Police
Department are required to be present for all dances. Pay-
ment for the officers will be made at the time the rental and
deposit is made.
3. No animals or fowl shall be allowed inside the building.
4. No reservation for the building can be made more than one
year in advance.
READ, PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading this 24th day of August,
1982.
READ, PASSED AND APPROVED on second and final reading this 14th day
of September, 1982.
