AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A
UTILITY EASEMENT LYING AND BEING SITUATED
ON THE COMMON LINE BETWEEN LOTS 8 AND 9,
OF BLOCK C, SAN GABRIEL HEIGHTS, SECTION V,
A SUBDIVISION TO WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS,
ACCORDING TO THE MAP OR PLAT THEREOF OF
RECORD, PLAT RECORDS, WILLIAMSON COUNTY,
TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a petition has been receivad from James Morgan, the owner of
land upon which the utility easement is located on the common line between
Lots 8 and 9 of Block C in San Gabriel Heights, Section V, a subdivision to
Williamson County, Texas;
WHEREAS petitioner states that Lots 8 and 9 as described above are owned
by Jack Morgan, and that Jack Morgan will construct a house on both of the
lots and over the utility easement; there is utility easement all the way
00 around both the lots and that the utility easement on the common line between

the lots is not now being used and is no longer needed.
Q WHEREAS, petitioner states it has been the owner of said property upon
Q which the easement is located and which is requested to be vacated, closed,
and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas that the said utility easement be and the same is hereby
vacated and abandoned beginning twenty-five feet from the front property
line to ten feet from the rear property line, provided however that if
the above described lots are used individually, the easement shall revert
to the City of Georgetown and also provided that the utility easements
along the exterior lines of the above described lots which are perpendi-
cular to the common lines shall remain unchanged and in full effect.
READ, PASSED, AND ADOPTED this 12th day of January, 1982, on first
reading.
READ, PASSED, AND ADOPTED this 9th day of February, 1982, on second
and final reading.

among other proceedings had were the following:

Whereas the laws of the State of Texas further provide that the Election Code of the State of Texas is
applicable to said election, and in order to comply with said Code, an order should be passed establishing
the procedure to be followed in said election, and designating the voting place for said election.

drawing by the City Secretary as provided by Article 6.05 c. Subd. 3.
The Mayor shall give notice of this election in accordance with the terms and provisions of Article 4.05
of the Election Code and returns of said notice shall be made as provided in said Article 4.05, and the Mayor
shall issue all necessary orders and writs for said election and returns of said election Shall be made to the
Council/CXifl' AiMiotihrs' immediately after the closing of the polls.
It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of this governing body the
Secretary/CxOx`lilc posted written notice of the date, place and subject of this meeting on the bulletin board
lo,.ated in the City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice having
been so posted and remaining posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of
said meeting. A copy of the return of said posting shall be attached to the minutee of this meeting and shall
be made a part thereof for all intents and purposes.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
That, Jim Caskey, Owner of the hereon described subdivision to be
known as THE RESUBDIVISION OF BLOCK I, REVISED PLAT OF CLAMP'S
ADDITION, is hereby authorized to file for record in the Office
of the County Clerk of Williamson County, Texas, the plat of said
subdivision attached hereto, and the County Clerk of Williamson
County, is hereby authorized to file for record said plat of land.
