AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RELEASE OF A PORTION OF A
RIGHT-OF-WAY EASEMENT TO MILTON G. LIESE AS SHOWN IN RIGHT-OF-WAY
EASEMENT TO TRACT ON THE DAVID WRIGHT SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 13 IN
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS AS SHOWN IN VOLUME 678 , PAGE 493
DEED RECORDS, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
(1) The City Council makes the following findings of fact:
a. That the north one-half (1/2) of a twenty (20) foot wide
strip of land situated in the David Wright Survey, Abstract
No. 13 in Williamson County, Texas as further described in
right-of-way easement dated August 8th , 1977 from
Milton G. Liese to the City of Georgetown, Texas has not been
used by said City of Georgetown since the same was granted to
said city;
b. In consideration of the City's releasing said portion of said
right-of-way easement, the said Milton G. Liese has agreed to
convey to the City a ten (10) foot wide easement south of the
above existing easement which will in effect give the City the
same width easement as now exists.
c. The City Council finds that it is for the best interest of the
City of Georgetown, Texas that said exchange of right-of-way
easements be made by each party thereto.
(2) NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Ordinance that the portion of
a right-of-way easement now held by the City of Georgetown, Texas as heretofore
granted by Milton G. Liese to said City of Georgetown, Texas in instrument dated
August 8th , 1977, recorded in Volume 678 , Page 493 , Deed Records of
Williamson County, Texas, more particularly described as follows: Being the
perimeter description of a 10 foot wide strip which is the portion of a 20 foot
wide easement across a portion of a strip of land situated in the David Wright
Survey, Abstract No. 13 in Williamson County, Texas, more particularly described
in easement from Milton G. Liese to the City of Georgetown, Texas recorded in
Volume 678, Page 493, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and being out of
and a portion of that certain tract of land conveyed to Milton G. Liese by deed
recorded in Volume 505, Page 231, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas.
BEGINNING at a point in the West line of the East portion of a 20 foot wide ease-
ment which is referenced above, at an ell corner of the easement which stands
S 28°52' W 118.94 feet from the South R.O.W. of F.M. 2338 and N 61°08' W 20 feet
from the East line of the Liese t►^act referenced above.
THENCE N 56013' W 1434.96 feet with a North line of the existing easement to the
East line of a 5.00 acre tract surveyed June 25, 1980.
THENCE S 29014' 30" E 10.035 feet with the East line of the 5 acre tract.
THENCE S 56013' E 1434.99 feet with the centerline of the existing 20 foot wide
easement to a point which stands N 61°08' W 20 feet from the East line of the
Liese tract.
THENCE N 28052' E 10.035 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, be and the same is
hereby released. The Mayor of the City of Georgetown, Texas is hereby authorized

to execute the necessary legal instrument or instruments releasing said portion
of said easement to Milton G. Liese.
(3) The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate
preservation of the public business and to provide for the usual daily operation
of a municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall
have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
