A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS
UNDER THE LOCAL PUBLIC WORKS CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT AND INVEST-
MENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration, Department of Commerce, has
been authorized to make grants to local governments and neighborhood under Title I of the
Public Works Employment Act of 1976 and,
WHEREAS, the Cityof Georgetown, Texas and the San Jose Neighborhood have
identified a high unemployment rate and a need for public works improvements in the San
Jose Neighborhood and,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown possesses the legal authority to apply for the grant,
BE IT RESOLVED, therefore, that the City of Georgetown is authorized to file an
application for funding under Title I of the Public Works Employment Act I of 1976, including
all understandings and assurances contained therein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that John C. Doerfler, Mayor of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, be identified as the official representative of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and
that he is authorized and directed to act in connection with the application and to provide
additional information as may be required.
PASSED THIS 12th DAY OF OCTOBER 1976.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, TO MAKE FORMAL APPLICATION AND REQUEST THAT FARM
ROAD 2338 FROM LOOP 418 TO BOOTY'S CROSSING ROAD BE INCLUDED IN
1977-1978 FEDERAL AID URBAN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, there is a need for the developing, widening and improving of Farm Road 2338
from Loop 418 to the Booty's Crossing Road; and,
WHEREAS, Funds may be procured through the Federal Aid Urban Systems Program in the year
1977-1978; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Georgetown make the formal request for participation
in such program:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
that its mayor be and he is hereby fullyauthorized to make all such formal requests as may be
expedient or necessary in order for the City of Georgetown, Texas, to participate in the
Federal Aid Urban Systems Program to secure funds for the improvement, widening and devel-
opment of Farm Road 2338 from Loop 418 to Booty's Crossing Road.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council this the 12th day of October, 1976
