A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE 'MAYOR TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
FOR YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS FUNDS
WHEREAS, Congress did enact Public Law 93-408 which established within the
Departments of the Interior and Agriculture a program designated as the Youth Conser-
vation Corps Projects on non-federal public lands and waters; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Community Affairs is requesting proposals under
the Youth Conservation Corps Act of 1970, and will provide funding on a competitive
system on an 80/20 federal/non-federal matching share basis; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, is eligible for funding;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, THE Mayor of the City of George-
town, Texas, is authorized to submit an application for funding under the Youth Con-
servation Corps Act of 1970, and is designated as the authorized official of the City
of Georgetown, Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 13th day of December, 1977.
