ANNEXING ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN WILLIAMSON COUNTY TEXAS AND EXTENDING
THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS AND GRANTING TO SAID
TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF
THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID
FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE SAID
CITY
WHEREAS a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknowledged by each
and every person or corporation having an interest in the following described territory to -wit
(SEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT A )
WHEREAS said tract of land is continguous and adjacent to the City of Georgetown
Texas and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width and
WHEREAS said petition was presented to the City Council on the 29th day of July 1975
such date being not less than 5 and not more than 30 days from the date hereof and
WHEREAS after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same the
City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory to the City of
Georgetown Texas
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown
r.. Texas
That the foregoing described property be and the same is hereby annexed to the City
of Georgetown Williamson County Texas and that the boundary limits of the City of
Georgetown Texas be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described
terra tory within the ci ty l imi is of the Ci ty of Georgetown Texas and the same shat l
hereof ter be included within the territorial limits of said city and said land and future inhabit-
ants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all fights and privileges of other citizens of the
City of Georgetown Texas and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Georgetown Texas
a certified copy of this ordinance
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council on this 11th day
of August 1975
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council this 8th day of
September 1975
