WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, currently assesses ad valorem taxes at a ratio of 60% of market value; and WHEREAS? Section 26.02 of the Texas Property Tax Laws requires an assessment ratio of 1001/6 to be effective January 1, 1981; Now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas: Section 1. Effective January 1, 1981, the Assessment Ratio for Ad Valorem taxes on property in the City of Georgetown, Texas, shall be at 100%. 00 Section 2.
