Ae it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, that in accordance with the provisions of an ordinance pro-
viding for the construction, etc., of sidewalks in said City, and
passed and approved on the llt•h day of December, A .D .1905, it is
kereby ordered that sidewalks be constructed on the West side of
Main Street, from San Gabriel, or 7th St-reet., to Rolling, or
Fourth Street.
It is further ordered that said sidewalks be built six feet
gide between 7th and 6th Streets end four feet wider the balance of
the distance, and that no curb shall be required. Iit is further
ordered tiat said sidewalks he constructed of cement in accordance
with the specifications provided in said sidewalk ordinance for
eer_ment sidewalks, such specifications Y+eing Class No. 1 In said
ordinance and are as follows: --To be filled to within five inches
of established grade and then well rarmed and packed, and then use
sand, gravel and best Portland cement in the following proportions:
One part cement,three I -arts clears sharp gritted sand, and four
parts clean gravel, sand and(cesent to be well mixed in dry state,
then gravel added with suffiei.errt water to admit of beim; thor-
oughly worked up together and well rammed, the ramming to take
placer before the, cement begins to set, and not too much water to be
used in the manipulation, but sufficient water to be used to cause
water to rise to the surface when thoroughly rammed, this mixture
to be four inches in thickness; then the top to be smoothed off
with an inch thiekn&ss of clean, sharp gritted sand and cement in
equal proportions.
Passed and approved this the 8th day of June, A. D., 1914.
