DYNAMITR CAPS AND PO"TDP,R WITHIN THR CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF GEORGBTOWN AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES.
BB IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texast
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person to
keep or to have in his charge or control within the limits of
this City more than Ten (10) pounds of dynamite, or more than
Fifty (50) dynami�,e caps, or more than Twenty-*ive (25) pounds
eaen of b.ia ck, blasting and rifle powder, or to keep or allow
to oe kept more tnan duca quantities at suers explosive articles
in any one building or place, or to keep or -allow to be kept
any dynamite within Twenty (20) feet of any dynamite caps or
such powder, and any person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilt of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than Twenty-
five (025.00) Dollars nor more than One Hundred (Z100.00)
Dollars, and each and every day that such violation shall con-
tinue shall constitute a distinct and separate offense.
Section 2. Permission is hereby given any merchants or
dealers in dynamite, dynamite caps or powder within the cor-
porate limits of this City, to build, own and control on the
City Dumping Grounds or on the West end of the tract of land
on the Liberty Hill road bought by the City from Mrs.Dimmitt
a magazine or house in which to keep dynamite, dynamite caps,
powder and other explosives handled by them, and they are here-
by given permission to use free of charge off of said grounds
such stone as they may need in building said magazine or house.
